Healthy Eating: Do You Really Want that Soda?
-
19Dec2011
We often discuss the importance of reading food labels in this blog. Healthy eating really starts with knowing what it is you’re putting in your mouth. Women’s Health Magazine sites a new study from Johns Hopkins University that provides an interesting take on labels.
They are proposing that junk food packages also include the amount of exercise it will take to burn off the number of calories in one serving of the food. -
14Sep2011
Instead of going out to eat, how about cooking all your family’s favorite fast food meals right at home? Did you know that you can make fast food meals that are healthier that the originals? And you can make most of them in less time that it takes to pile everyone in the car and go to the restaurant. Here’s how:
Taco Bell: Most markets carry seasoning packets and sauce mixes that you can add to your ground beef as you cook it. The tacos, burritos and Enchiritos you make will taste just like the ones from the restaurant.
McDonalds: Many… Read the rest
