Is Dr. Oz Wrong? Can You Be Both Fat and Fit?
-
30Nov2011
I have to give it to Dr. Oz. On his show Monday; he featured someone who fundamentally disagreed with almost everything he believes about fitness, obesity and weight loss. I don’t know of too many TV personalities who would welcome someone to their show who didn’t share their opinions!
Dr. Glenn Gaesser is a physical fitness and obesity expert at ASU, so he should know what he’s talking about when it comes to weight loss. He has written 3 books, including Big Fat Lies, and he claims that there is really no epidemic of obesity in America today!… Read the rest

Vitamins have long had what some people call a “health halo.” Many people think that they are good for everyone, no matter what they eat (or don’t eat). The industry calls them an “insurance policy against bad eating.”
But, vitamins are often added to the foods we eat. Who remembers that ad for a certain… Read the rest
Kids Actually Love Healthy Foods!
-
19Oct2011
If you mention fresh tomatoes, reduced fat cheese or fresh herbs to young kids or teens, they are likely to roll their eyes and say “eeeeww.” But that doesn’t mean you should pacify them with a stop at the local fast food drive through either. But kids actually love healthy foods, if they are fixed the right way!
Eating healthier can be as simple as fixing a deli turkey sandwich instead of a picking up a fast food burger. Try fixing it on a roll with lettuce, tomato, pickles and olives, just like Subway does! You can enhance the… Read the rest
