How To Finally Get Fit!
-
02Feb2016
Let’s face it. Exercise can become just another boring task in our lives…that is IF we even find the time for it. Some people are lacking motivation and passion, thus never really starting a fitness program. Others may be utterly frustrated because they try hard at times but always seem to lose momentum, running out of steam and never really sticking with anything very long. Yet others still have all the best intentions, do their homework, plan it out but allow life to prevent them from starting. If you relate with any of these, I have good news for you!… Read the rest

Less Housework Equals Weight Gain
-
04Mar2013
A recent study published in PLoS One, a scientific journal, found that women aren’t doing as much housework as they used to and that is contributing to weight gain.
To be sure, there are a lot of factors that contribute to the current obesity epidemic, and housework (or lack of) may certainly be one of them. When you read the study in detail, you find that what the researchers are really saying is that people today, not just women, engage in fewer calorie-burning activities in general.
They found that in 1965, women spent about 26 hours a week cleaning, cooking … Read the rest
Exercise: It Can Be About More Than Health

14Sep2012
I just read the wonderful story of Doug Werner and his 9 year old daughter, Abbie. She had flunked her school fitness test and she was initially depressed. Abbie knew she had to do something. She was a bit overweight and didn’t want to suffer with obesity issues as the years went by. But, both Doug and his daughter saw an opportunity – one that went beyond exercise.
Doug worked in the fitness industry and he ran marathons before being injured. Both father and daughter were out of shape, and they decided to do something about it. And, what they … Read the rest
Exercise: You Don’t Need Equipment or a Gym
-
03Aug2012
Along with healthy eating, exercise is essential to good health. But many of us just don’t have the time – or so we think! Everyone has time to exercise. You just have to be creative.
Regular exercise is so important to a healthy lifestyle. It not only makes you feel better and gives you more energy, regular exercise can help lower your risk of diabetes and other chronic illnesses.
Contrary to popular belief, exercising doesn’t require a gym membership. It doesn’t require a treadmill, weights or a lot of time either. And it certainly doesn’t require the latest exercise equipment … Read the rest
